What do we offer you?
To benefit from your rooftop to generate solar electricity we offer you:
- Installation of a solar photovoltaic system on your rooftop without you having to make the investment (we will finance it).
- Implementing a monthly savings quota in your electricity bill
During the financing period, you will continue to pay for all the electricity you consume in your bill. We will make sure to apply the savings quota to your energy bill every month and that the installation cost has no impact on your energy bill. You will have a financing/loan for the cost of the installation during the first 15 years, but as we have mentioned, we will make sure that it does not impact your bill. In addition, you can repay your loan in advance at any time at no cost.
Once you have fully repaid the loan, you will have a solar installation the energy of which will be 100% yours and you will be able to save more on your bill.
What does it consist of?
As long as your rooftop is viable, meaning that it is sufficiently large, with enough solar radiation and that it does not pose technical problems, we will take care of installing the solar photovoltaic system for electricity generation.
The solar system will be your property and for 15 years we will utilize the energy generated and, as long as the circumstances described below occur, we will apply a monthly saving quota to your energy bill. In other words, we (Holaluz) will be the administrative holder of your solar system under the electricity regulation and of its energy generation. At the end of this 15-year period, you will become the administrative holder of the solar system and all the energy it generates will be 100% yours.
How do we do it?
The first thing, logically, is that you have signed up with Holaluz for the electricity supply. Also, you will have to sign the solar system supply contract and the loan contract. We will also make sure that your rooftop is viable and optimal for mounting and connecting the solar installation. To do this, we will have to carry out a technical validation visit to your house. Once the suitability of your rooftop has been confirmed, we will validate the savings quota that we can offer you, the amount of which we will have indicated as a reference during the process of contracting the electricity supply. If the savings quota does not change, we will be able to start working directly and, if there are changes, we will send you the final proposal of the supply contract and the loan contract for the installation, which you must expressly accept by validating these contracts.
As administrative holders of the solar installation, we will manage 100% of its generation in order to take full advantage of the solar system. This means that we will also ensure that:
● If the conditions of your rooftop allow it, you do not have to pay the cost of the solar system, since we will finance it completely and you will pay it monthly through your energy bill, which will be lower due to the savings quota.
● You receive your savings quota during those 15 years, regardless of whether it is sunny or raining, as long as the installation is operating and generating energy normally (and also the other circumstances detailed below are in place). You will continue to pay for all the energy you consume, whether it comes from the solar panels or from the grid, which will always be 100% renewable energy! and you will receive your savings quota at the end of the month.
What about the contracts?
What we offer you is a global service that consists of 3 contracts:
- Electricity supply contract.
- Turnkey supply of the solar system contract, since it will be your property.
- Loan agreement, to finance the payment of the solar photovoltaic plant.
After 15 years, you will have a self-consumption system the energy of which will be 100% yours. Although the global service consists of 3 contracts, each month you will receive a single energy balance summary document in which you will see the amount of your energy consumption, the savings quota and the loan instalment reflected, and in which the monthly amount due will be clearly indicated.
What do you have to do?
As we said, we take care of implementing the savings quota every month and, if the solar system needs any repair during the first 15 years due to normal use, we will bear the cost. And that's not all! In addition to the legal guarantee offered by the manufacturer on the panels and the solar inverter, these equipments have the additional guarantee from Holaluz. This additional guarantee is extended during the term of the contracts. What does this mean? It means that we promise to respond in the same terms that the manufacturer would respond once the legal warranty ends, and we extend it until 15 years have elapsed since its installation, provided that the three contracts are in force. As if that were not enough, we are also committed to managing the claim to the manufacturer in case you report a problem in your installation. Thus, you will only have to contact Holaluz to communicate the problem and we will take care of solving it regardless of who the warranty corresponds to. At the time of installation, you will be given the legal and commercial guarantee statement.
From your side, we need you to guarantee that the installation is protected against sustaining any damage. This should be done by insuring the solar photovoltaic system, for example, by including it in your home insurance (sometimes it has no additional cost) or by taking out specific insurance for it. In this way, if any damage is caused to the solar photovoltaic system, your insurance company will cover it.
How does the savings quota work?
As long as your rooftop allows it, we can apply a monthly savings quota on your bill so that even taking into account the loan instalment, the total amount payable will be less than what you pay now.
We will start to include the savings quota from the month after you sign up for the electricity supply and, if after the technical visit we see that your rooftop is not suitable, or you do not enter into the turnkey supply of the solar system contract and the financing contract for any reason or they cease to be in force, we will stop applying the savings quota. In these cases, the savings quotas that you have already received are yours, you need not return them. Once all the contracts have been signed, and as long as we have not already installed the solar system on your roof, you will have 14 days to withdraw at no cost.
Holaluz can offer you this product in view of the current circumstances, therefore, if some of these circumstances are substantially altered, we can modify, upwards or downwards, the savings quota that we offer you. This increase or reduction will always reflect the increase or reduction in cost that we have experienced. In any case, we will notify you 15 days in advance of any change that may occur.
Like we said, we offer a global service that consists of 3 contracts and therefore, the savings quota will be implemented provided that you are active and up to date with payments of the global service (the 3 contracts). We will also need the solar system to be operating and generating energy normally. If at any time before 15 years you want to change your energy supplier, we will stop applying the savings quota and you will keep your payment obligations of the loan, that you will be able to prepay or continue repaying on a monthly basis until the end. In this case, we will assign you 100% of the energy produced by your panels and you will be able to use it as you see fit.
What if my rooftop is not suitable?
In the event that your rooftop does not allow us to offer you a monthly savings quota such that, when including your monthly loan installment, lowers the sum you must pay as compared to what you are currently paying, we will tell you from the first moment. In this case, you can make an initial payment so that your savings are higher, or choose to contract the installation and financing anyway, understanding that in this second case your monthly electricity bill will be increased while the financing is in place by contracting the solar installation.
What if I want to sell my house during this 15-year period?
You will have two options. The first one is that the buyer of your house substitutes you in the contracts that you have signed with us in such a way that he or she can continue to benefit from our product. The second one is that you prepay the outstanding balance of the loan in full and install the solar system in your new home (if technically possible) or increase the value of your home for the potential buyers (since in this case the buyer will be able to benefit 100% from the energy generated by the solar photovoltaic system, unless you request to continue paying the monthly loan installments (even if, if the conditions for it are no longer met, we will no longer pay you the savings quota).
What if I can’t pay the bill?
If you do not pay your invoice, we will have no choice but to stop applying a part of your savings quota to the following energy bills until you are up to date with your payment again. In the event that you default on three energy bills, we will stop applying the full savings quota and, therefore, you will be obliged to pay the full amount of your energy bill, which may be substantially higher to the amount you have been paying. In addition, all amounts owed under the contracts may be claimed from you. Below is an example of how the bill could increase in case you had to pay the full amount. Keep in mind that these amounts are only an example and that, therefore, the amounts shown do not correspond to your specific case:
If the monthly loan payment is € 30 (A), the monthly electricity bill, without any type of discount, is € 70 (B) and the total savings payment is € 40 (C); As long as the savings fee is applicable, the total amount to be paid will be € 60, that is, A + B - C. However, if you cannot pay your bill, the savings fee will not be applied, so the total amount to be paid will be € 100, that is, A + B.
How will you treat my personal data?
In order to provide you with the services that we have told you, the companies of the Holaluz group with which you sign the 3 contracts (that is, Holaluz Rooftop Revolution, SL and Holaluz-Clidom, SA) will process your personal data, obtained through you in this process or that you have already provided to other companies of the Holaluz group (or, in the case of Holaluz Rooftop Revolution, SL, obtained from credit information systems), as data controllers for the following purposes: managing and complying with the contracts that you sign with each one of them; communicate them to other companies of the Holaluz group to globally manage the energy supply service and financing and supply of the photovoltaic solar plant (to issue invoices and manage the rest of the contracts you have with the companies of the Holaluz group); change the service supplier or carry out certain business operations; comply with money laundering regulations; consult or communicate information to credit information systems (in the case of Holaluz Rooftop Revolution, S.L.); and comply with its legal and contractual obligations.
We want to remind you that you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, opposition, deletion, portability, limitation of treatment, right to object to treatments based on automated decisions and any other rights recognized by the applicable regulations by sending an email addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org, attaching copy of your ID (or equivalent). You can also address Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es) to claim the exercise of your rights or any other issue relating to compliance with data protection regulations.
