What does a distributor do?

The Distributor owns the meter and the power lines which arrives to your house.

By law, as of 1 July 2009, distributors can only dedicate their activities to building, maintaining and operating the electricity grids, as well as to reading the meters and providing a service to correct errors 24 hours a day.

Marketers, such as Holaluz, are another member of the Spanish electricity sector. We explain more here.
